lift & tires

Maybe. At 4" of suspension lift, you are taking the slipyoke to it's limits. Without a slipyoke eliminator setup, you can expect some vibrations and possibly some slipyoke durability problems depending on usage.

That depends on how you lift it.

Many folks run that size (4") lift without a SYE, as a transfer case lowering kit will usually prevent driveline vibration. It is a possibility though and you should definately be aware of that.

Make sure you get a complete kit that includes all the accessories like extended brake lines, shocks, transfer case lowering kit, drop pitman arm, contol arms, extended swaybar links or disconnects, etc.

Also keep in mind at that lift height you really should get an adjustable trackbar to re-center your front axle.

Shop around before you buy, not only to compare pricing but to compare what each product comes with. It will be well worth spending a little more to do it right the first time and get good quality coil springs, rather than have to buy parts as an afterthought or out of necessity.

RE: Re: RE: fabrication help... rusty, flakey upper shock mo

Is the pro comp 4" lift a good lift? Does it have all the necessary parts? :?

go with rubicon express. theyre one of the few companies that very rarely has problems. i always hear complaints about spring sagging, rough rides, or lots of vibes with every other company but RE. RE has a great reputation and has great customer service.

RE: Bikini Top - khaki CJ / YJ

I got the R.C. 4" and some 33's and I've had no major problems... maybe some vibes at 40 mph.. works great other than that... I have yet to put it in a real bind since the lift though....
