T-90 3speed

Would a v8 give me higher output? Thus faster speeds? Or would it simply be getting to top speed faster. And would diesel engine matter?

Not sure what your question exactly is but a T90 behind a V8 is not a good idea in my book, it just isn’t strong enough. (Voice of experience here as I have been there done that.)

Only because I always see cj7's with descriptions like 304v8 and a 3 speed so I just imagined that it would be faster and more efficient cuz I'm running the stock f-134 and the three speed and I top out at 45-50

that is hte gearing in your transmission and differential. the engine doesn't care how fast it goes, the differential gearing is the main decider on that stuff.

you probably need a funny gear in the rear end with a 4 cylinder and a three speed transmission because it will either start really slow or have no top speed.

What's a funny gear, I need stupid people terms...sorry

it works

Wow instead of putting a pretty google picture, u could have just said "2 speed rear diff." seems easier the posting a picture.

I have no idea what gear you would need to run. I know on the newer 4 cylinders they run a 4.10 gearing. Bmw uses the same on the 4 cylinder 318 models

Assuming everything is stock you have a Spicer 18 transfer case with the PTO port. To get more speed all you need an overdrive. Warn made the original version then they sold the tooling to Advanced Adaptors. AA sells the overdrive under the Saturn name. You might get lucky and score a used one.
