Hey, just thought i would stop and say hi. Im from Wichita, KS but live in El Dorado, Ks. I have a 87 YJ. And love it.

Anybody know any boards that are local to KS?

Welcome aboard!!! Sparky's from there too!

Cold?

Heck shoot fire!!! So, there are more than 3 Jeeps in Kansas!!! I live out in Mt. Hope (eMpTy Hope), about 25 miles NW of Wichita. Welcome to Jeepz!! As far as local boards, I don't think there are any. There's a Jeep club in Wichita, but I haven't been active in it. I went to one meeting and got bored, never went back. They tend to have more money for out-of-state trips than I do, so it wouldn't be worth the dues for me to join right now.

How much snow did you get in El Dorado?

Good to see yet another Kansas Jeeper here. That makes at least 4 of us now on this board. Stick around, I'm sure you'll like it.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

We got around 6in or so mabey close to 8in. Glad I got a jeep. LOL Story on my jeep is that its fairly stock right now. I did the tire calc and ended up that i have 29in tires on it now. Theres a home made shackle system on the front. Thats gettin taken off. And im puttin stock stuff back on there. With probably a shackle lift on it. Plans call for 4in susp lift ect... However we all know that changes. I had a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. And my fiance had a 94 Formula. She traded her firebird for the jeep. And i traded my talon for the 4dr 4x4 S10 Blazer. LOL Then we traded. I still have alot to learn about jeeps though. However i cant understand why i didnt get one in the first place.

I have noticed that alot of the locals here like to go out of state alot. Im in the same boat that i have other things to spend money on right now. Id like to get a local outing planed out and go. I have never gone yet. I have gone with my brother alot. Fact you living in Mt. Hope you may have seen his truck on his way to the lake. Its a 86 or so Chevy pickup. Flatbed and bright yellow paint that is Rhino lining. Soon I will be goin out on the trails with out him. LOL Besides, a jeep can go alot more places then his truck :)
