I got a stumble

91 yj 4.0l w/trottlebody. During aceleration I get a nasty stumble. It goes away at haigher rpm and runs nice and smooth. At take off the harder you hit the gas the worse it is. This is something that just happened out of the blue not a gradual problem. Where should I start

Remove the throttle body and give it a good bench cleaning.

also check your dist (cap/rotor/wires/advance) = sounds like a problem i had b/4 with crossfiring within the cap at low revs... maybe worth a look...

Ok heres what i did so far checked the plugs, wires, cap, all good regapped plugs. Cleaned and degreased the trottle body. Tested fuel pressure 31lbs, 39 lbs with vacum hose off just like book says. Still have stumble on power can't climb a hill. Dropped the exhaust at the cat and ran a striaght pipe still no power. Today i picked up a fuel filter just for the sake of it and am going to put the fuel gage back on and drive with it on. What else should iI be looking at. I have access to a snap- on computer scanner were does the computer plug in to do a check?

in my old 91 sahara the only plugs i can remember seeing were under the hood... i believe by the battery near the breakers... may be wrong = got rid of that jeep over 4 yrs ago or so...
