Help!

Ok I am new to this sight so bear with me. Ok I have a 91 YJ and I want to know if a 80's model CJ hard top will fit without any complications. I know the 91 model is different then the earlier and later as far as the roll bar.:???:

yes... just make sure its a CJ-7 hardtop as it will fit as will the doors... a cj 5 wont fit... and welcome to Jeepz!!! you'll like it here! lots of good advice, good people and not much (at all) flaming!

Thankyou so much for the fast response, I will have to ask the guy if it is a CJ 7 as I think that is what he said. Will I have to take the tracks off to put the hard top on, I am sorry I am clueless about this.

The only issue you might have is where the stock rollbar meets the windshield. You might have to notch a CJ7 hardtop for a good fit. I've done it for a '92 YJ and it was no big deal.

if youre talking about the "lawyer" bars going from the bar to the windshield... lose the bars... dont see them doing any good in a rollover and you cant fold the windshield down with them on anyway (lost them on my last 2 jeeps... just my opinion - not a suggestment).... but with them gone it should fit no problem...
