Help identifying wires and a harness

Just removed my shifter starting a clutch replacement and I noticed there's this wiring harness and the wires on it looked chewed through. Can someone tell me what these wires are these harnesses is go to?

Mice or rats seem to have gotten to this wiring. Much the same occurred to the Wehrmacht during the siege of Stalingrad. When the Luftwaffe bombed the hell out of the city the rats all scampered to the warmth of the Panzers, nibbling on the cloth insulated wiring for their nests. This of course among other things led to the failure of the siege.
