RE: mandatory reading
alright guys heres the problem:
sister has a 96 Mazda 626 with the four banger in it. It has a 2 yearold repro transmission. When the vehicle is in P or N...perfectly fine. When you engage into D or R...you fill like you have one of those expensive vibrating recliners. It shifts smooth while driving, but when sitting still and going through the gears, harsh and almost clunky sounding. Took it to my buddy who's a mechanic and he swore it wasnt a motor mount.
I checked transmission fluid level, it was fine....but it was so damn dark and smelled like motor oil. I never dealt with a car that takes Mercon before, is it darker and smell different than dexron?
Either way I am gonna change the fluid. Surprise surprise that the sister has lost the owners manual...anyone know a website that has fluid capacities for vehicles? or know off hand for a 96 mazda 626 4cyl?

as for me...Steel city better be making sure Big Bens the guy to go with, batch looked pretty damn good...and I swear on my life if someone would give St Pierre a chance he might make it in this league
