Body Armor rear bumper + class III hitch

Does anyone have a Body Armor rear bumper? Can you comment on it. Also, I'm wondering if any of you have this swing away tire carrier and also have a class 3 receiver hitch mounted at the same time.

I don't have that, but I can recommend the bumper/tire-carrier/trail rack from LOD Off-Road. It has a built in hitch and so far has held up very nicely on the rocks and such.

The only "Tow Rated" bumper that I know of is the High Rock. Most of the others can be used to tow, but they are not officially "Tow Rated" (from what I hear, this is a DOT rating that you need to apply for, and it costs money to get the rating, which is why many manufacturers dont use it).

I just an email from LoD. Their response was "We do not rate our hitches for legal reasons".

As I said, the only bumper I know that is Tow Rated is the HighRock by BesT Top.

Yeah, but in a Jeep you probably shouldn't be towing something that weighed more then 3k-4k anyway. I would think (hope) that even if it isn't rated it should be atleast able to pull my small trailer with all my camping gear in it. Why bother putting the receiver on there in the first place?

The receiver is put there to carry bike carriers, or small extensions to load more stuff, or use it as a recovery point. With most (I dont want to say ALL because there ARE some cheap bumpers out there!) you can also tow, but they dont have the rating because (1) it is an additional expense to get it rated, and (2) lawsuits...
