4wd lever issues

I have a hockey puck body lift on my TJ, along with a 4 inch body and 2 inch spacer lift. Whenever i put it in to 4wd and am doing some serious wheelin, the linkage will pop out. I have to get under it and shift it by hand. We already put the linkage extenders on and it still does it. How can I fix this?? Its 4.0 Auto. Thanks, Justin

RE: off road today

might have to cut away the body? is the linkage disconnecting?

Are you saying you have a 4" body lift and added more body lift via hocky pucks (around 5-6" of body lift total)???

I posted that because it appears to be a typo. Do you actually have a 4" suspenion lift with spacers and then a hocky puck body lift?

RE: Spring Comparison

oh my god... put down the bong and exhale quickly, please.

your asking for major trouble, and the reason its popping out is because your linkage is stretched beyond belief. that much body lift is can be deadly. if you were to get in a accident, you risk a huge chance of sheering off the 11 bolts that hold your body onto the frame when they are that long.

drop the monster body lift for the safety of anyone and everyone who is traffic around you. by the way, who even makes a 4inch body lift?

yea that was a typo.. I have a 4 inch suspension lift (Procomp stage 2), a 2 inch coil spacer (Ebay) and a 1 inch body lift (hockey pucks) There is no way i would put any bigger then a 1 inch body lift on it.

RE: TJ gas fill and LED

Do you have a transfer case drop? The transfer case linkage with the drop bracket generally works well with either the transfer case drop OR the 1" body lift. Tough to make it work good with both. Consider a SYE to get rid of the transfer case drop.

It's a shame that Jeep didn't keep the shifter setup like the YJ, mounted only to the transfer case. In their attempt at making the Wrangler more car-like they had to go and mount it to the drivetrain and the body, just asking for problems.

RE: checked on my block today...

that looks pretty good. I was just thinking that there should be some ways to retrofit the yj style on

phew thank god, skyjackers is about half the price of novaks also if you dont want to drop the dough on custom billet. the yj one might work if you can find one off a 4.0 auto
