    Tranfer case lowering kit

Agree with Bounty. If it were the driveshaft angle, the vibes would be present at more speeds than just 35. Do the trans mount thing described. corey

    Spidertrax Wheel Spacers

Does anyone run the Spidertrax Wheel Spacers on their rig? I have TJ rims on my YJ and I love 'em. But the 5.25" backspacing is killing me. At full compression, the rear tires rub the frame! Yes, the frame! And with 5" of lift and 33x10.50s, I need to move the wheels out. But I've heard...

    Lifting a YJ

Everyone has their own idea of what looks good on a Jeep (ie. I hate excessively wide tires). But in my opinion, yes, 31's will look small on a 3" lift. 32's would look perfect under a 3" YJ lift. C

Largest tires for 4 banger before you have to re-gear??

how do i clean my gas tank out right???? You can run 33's, but go with the skinnies. I have 33x10.50 BFGs with a 2.5L motor with 166,000 original miles. It's horrible even on highway overpasses. But it's also a solid motor. Regearing is the best answer, but it will drink more gas. If you...

    Jeep Stock Wheels - Backspacing

Ok. Thanks. I'm gonna trust you guys. The only ones that are different are the 15x8 rims that Jeep makes... like the Canyon rims. Right? Corey

    Jeep Stock Wheels - Backspacing

So I'm wheel shopping cause I got rubbing in the rear. I have the TJ grizzly rims and I know that the backspacing is 5.25". What is the back spacing on the 5 spoke Jeep OEM steel wheels? It looks like it's only 4" but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me for sure? I mean, you are 100% certain...

    Lifting a YJ

If you're willing to spend up to $800 on a quality lift... I'd say Old Man Emu. They're 2" lift is very high quality and the on-road ride will not suffer. Of course, you'll spend every bit of that $800 and probably then some. Otherwise, I'd also say the Rubicon Express 2" kit for about $500...

    YJ plans

If you're gonna be swapping out axles, I'd suggest a spring over rather than the monolinear kit. That thing is expensive. The SOA can be done for about 1/5 the cost. Just my opinion. Oh yeah... YJ's rule. Corey

    exhaust under water

This is exactly why the stock exhaust tip is turned down. Also, it's "hydro-lock" when the motor tries to combust water... not "hydraulic". I'm not the word-police, but don't want you to go around town saying "hydraulic" when you mean "hydro-lock". (Latin for water causing the engine to lock...

    i just bought a 92 wrangler

Uh... if you gotta replace all those body parts (i.e., grill, bumper and fender) did you have the frame checked out? I'll bet dollas to dimes your frame is outta whack. Better have it checked before you start replacing stuff or installing a drivetrain. Corey

    If you had $500............

A CJ? You need to get 1 piece rear axles first, then the locker. You can do this for $500 if you do the work yourself. Or for $500, you could go to the 'yard and find a better axle than the 20. $.02 Corey

TJ front exhaust on a YJ 2.5L

I've heard of this mod before but want to know more about it. Apparently you can take a TJ 2.5L front exhaust pipe and put it on a 2.5L YJ so the pipe runs in front of the oil sump in the oil pan. What I need to know is, is there any modification required to do this? Does the TJ pipe bolt...

    Swap D35 cclip for a D35 non c clip??

Is your D35 with c-clips broken? Then why replace it to use for only 1 year? What size tires you runnin? My theory is don't replace it until it's broken. Seems like you want to dump money into something temporary. Not a wise investment in my eyes. $.02 C

Just put in my throttle body spacer today and....

Craig, have you tried coupling it with a K&N filter? Might help some and make you feel better. Also, improved exhaust will help. I noticed a difference with a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and a K&N stock box filter. But like Joopin said, C

    Herculiner!!!!

I agree with L33, don't buy the kit. Just buy the gallon of Herculiner and then head over to your cheapest paint supply store for: 2 disposable paint trays, 1 short roller handle (4" wide), 2 short rollers, a 1" or 2" brush, and a brillo pad or steel wool. I did this on my Jeep in 2002 and...
