If you're willing to spend up to $800 on a quality lift... I'd say Old Man Emu. They're 2" lift is very high quality and the on-road ride will not suffer. Of course, you'll spend every bit of that $800 and probably then some. Otherwise, I'd also say the Rubicon Express 2" kit for about $500...

If you're gonna be swapping out axles, I'd suggest a spring over rather than the monolinear kit. That thing is expensive. The SOA can be done for about 1/5 the cost. Just my opinion. Oh yeah... YJ's rule. Corey

A CJ? You need to get 1 piece rear axles first, then the locker. You can do this for $500 if you do the work yourself. Or for $500, you could go to the 'yard and find a better axle than the 20. $.02 Corey

I've heard of this mod before but want to know more about it. Apparently you can take a TJ 2.5L front exhaust pipe and put it on a 2.5L YJ so the pipe runs in front of the oil sump in the oil pan. What I need to know is, is there any modification required to do this? Does the TJ pipe bolt...

Craig, have you tried coupling it with a K&N filter? Might help some and make you feel better. Also, improved exhaust will help. I noticed a difference with a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and a K&N stock box filter. But like Joopin said, C
