    Need help with rear shaft

RE: NW event And if you decide to pay to have it fixed, it should be no more than 1/2 hour of labor + parts ($20). Anything over $60... keep moving. I know time is valuable and sometimes it's worth the trouble to pay someone to do it quickly and right. corey ps. this cost is dependent on the...

    Horn fix!!

RE: find me a dana 60 front If you have a multimeter, have an assistant depress the horn button and verify that the wire at the horn (in the engine bay) is getting juice. Might be a simple horn replacement. I still have my stock one if you need it. I replaced mine with an air horn. I'm in...

    headers

RE: hi_c is back... with problems Benefits: smoother and increased volume of exhaust flow. The easier the motor can breathe, the more power that will be unleashed. Conversely, a cat-verter is basically a filter (a ceramic honeycomb to strip out the nasties), hence restricting air flow to some...

    hi_c is back... with problems

RE: TFI is it all it is cracked up to be? No. In fact, I don't know how to check the timing. I changed the plugs yesterday and the oil. When I added new oil, I used a can of that Restore Engine Restorer. It says that you should notice improvements around 500 miles. So we'll see. The spark...

    hi_c is back... with problems

RE: i yeah, I'm back in jeepz land. I don't remember the last time I was here. My wife and I had a daughter last may. That's consumed much of my time. Anyway, let's get down to business: I got motor problems. When the motor is at operating temp (~195*) and I'm at highway speeds, the...

Yet another crazy and overzealous Jeep seller on Ebay...

RE: i What gets me is he spent all that money on the Jeep and yet the flares are stock.... they look sucky. For $57K, put some freaking tube fenders on there. Notice that it has an Atlas II t-case, but the stock transmission. And the only way I'm dropping $57K on that Jeep is if he swaps in...

    What do you guys think?

Chunk the rear trackbar ASAP! Personally... I don't use any of them on my YJ. But that's preference. Good deal on the winch. But I would forget the stereo stuff and save for a lift kit instead. Then replace that BL with the lift kit. But everybody likes his turkey differently (I like mine...

    Rough country lifts

I have the Hell Creek lift, and on the springs in Yellow is the same thing "YJ 4 USA HELL CREEK". I bought mine in December 2003 and while yes, they settled about 1/2", they are still clearing my 33's with no rubbing. Tom Laher (the owner) also owns Laher spring corporation and he buys the RC...

    YJ front hub socket

Don't buy it. Autozone rents that socket for free. Unless you plan on using it often, I wouldn't buy one. But that's me.

    Scored a Hi-LIft, now...

Yep. Bumpers are the only choice unless you have rocker panels or rocker skids. Most are beefy enough to handle 50% of the weight of the vehicle. corey

    NO balls

Scrambler Wiring Diagrams Time out. We're all looking at the problem wrong. He's got 33's. I bet the speedometer gear was never replaced. Keepkool, you're probably doing about 80, but your speedometer is only reading 60. To fix that, you can re-gear you speedometer ($10 mod), or you can...

    gutless YJ

You cry babies! At least you have MPFI. I have 2.5L with TBI, which is like 20hp weaker. You need to start losing weight, ie., chunk heavy rocker guards, remove your backseat (and hence, any passengers), get skinnier tires (I have 33x10.50, not 12's), get better air flow (K&N, exhaust mods)...

Best place to buy YJ Rough Country lift kit and smelly jeep

www.hellcreek.com its the same kit, but with hell creek brand springs (which are guaranteed for life!) The ruf country springs are not guaranteed, to my knowledge. hell creek kit was $425 incl. pitman arm & shocks (plus all the other normal kit parts). corey

    89 yj clutch/transmission issues

Check for leakage around the master cylinder (on both sides of the firewall). If it's not the master, it's the slave. And that sucks, cause an 89 YJ has the internal slave. Gotta pull the transmission to replace it. c

    Another Bump Stop Question...

bob (lvrockcrawler), don't worry about replacing the springs. Tom Laher, the owner at Hell Creek is real good about replacing them under the warranty. I had to replace my first one since I installed the kit last december. I called him up and told him I bent one wheeling. I had a free...

    torx for yj

No no no no. Don't pay Q-tec those outrageous prices (plus that outrageous shipping + handling fee). Just go on down to sears and get a set. That way, they are guaranteed for life. If the set doesn't have the big one(s) then go to an auto parts store (PepBoys or AutoZone) and buy the...

    torx for yj

Yeah, get the whole set. Off the top of my head, I know you need: T60, T55, T50. I've used those recently. I bought an 8 piece socket set and also have a "torx key" for those smaller torx bits. Spend the $ and get sockets with a lifetime warranty so that when (not if) you round one off, you...

    Oil Pressure?

    Hell Creek Suspensions

Instrument cluster on a 99 XJ - Interesting question I read on JA that increased shackle rake will help prevent taco'd springs. For example, short shackles (or stock shackle lengths) cause the spring to be near vertical. This is bad according to the thread. I'm researching this for validity...
