RE: Re: Here are some progress pics

i am going to try and explain this the best i can. when i close the zipper on my driverside window, it sometimes opens back up behind the zipper and jumps a bunch of teeth. so then i have to really pull and tug on the zipper to try and get it to re-seal the zipper as well as jump a few teeth again. anyone else have this problem, and ho do i fix it? if i can

Try spraying some silicone or something on it to lubricate the zipper. If it's the same problem I had with mine, that should help.

RE: XJ... can it tow my YJ?

regular old bar soap is an excellent lubricant for the zippers, but it sounds like the teeth on your zipper are worn out. You would have to either sew that part permanent or sew in (or have someone do it) a new zipper. Or break down and get a new top

RE: rhino liner on the exterior

i had my windows re done at a marine stitchery, they also made signs and that kind of stuff. anywhere like that should be able to do it and offer you a better zipper. i think mine were like 60 a window? i love my zippers, theyre the same size as the ones on the back windows now

thats a good idea. i never thought of that. i think i will check into that in the spring. its winter now and the windows dont go down that often. thanks. jeepz.com is the best :D

I had the same problem and my top was only two years old. Try adjusting the part of the zipper you pull on. The part that the teeth enter . Mine was spread apart just a little hence not locking the teeth, pliers should do it. Just givr it a little squeez Hope this helps.
