TJ with doors off

A friend of mine ask me today how do you keep the dome light from coming on if you remove your doors. I have never removed mine so I am clueless. The switch inside the door appears to be threaded, is there such a thing? Thanks, KJ

I used to just pull the fuse. However, since I broke both of the pins off when I was installing my roll cage (the instructions said to be very careful or you might break....) I don't worry about it anymore.

If your dang round-eyed Jeep didn't have car-like kick panels, you could just pull the wire off the back of the switch like I do in the YJ.
