Hey Gang,
So I go grocery shopping last night, come out to load the goods into the back of the TJ, and I can't open the darn tailgate. Perplexed was I.
So I just decided to load the goods over the tailgate, as it was 55 degrees and not raining at that point so there was no top on.
Well, then the car across from me left and when they turned on their headlights, I realized why my gate would not open.
Some moron must have backed into my spare and pushed the whole damn gate right in!!!! :shock: :evil:
Obviously this bound the latch. :shock:
So, my question to you fine feathered folk: Outside of a boneyard, has anyone seen aftermarket tailgates for a 97 Tj on the internet? I ran a search this morning and only came up with older Willys' style fold downs.
I know some will respond by saying just tie it off to a tree and rip it off, but I got to keep the dog in the back and its a daily driver!! (although that sounds more fun!)
