Changing the speakers on any Jeep/Rig/car/etc is the easiest way to improve sound as long as the speaker you replace is better thant he one you take out. Luckily, most of the time the speaker you take out is the cheapest one the factory could find to keep costs low, so ods are that any aftermarket speaker is better.
The problem with the sound bar (especially if you do not have any woofer) is that the speakers are ussually very small (ussually in the 4" range), and a speaker that size will have a lot of trouble reproducing base sound. The placing of the speakers will also make it difficult (note that I say difficult in the sense that it is not impossible, but it is not optimum!) to actually hear both channels of a stereo source because one speaker is very close to your ear and directly pointing at it, while the other channel is very far (relatively speaking) and not pointing at your ear at all.
If you want to keep your sound bar, I would recommend using it as a fron channel and installing new speaker cones on it (depending on the tipe of sound bar, you would choose your speaker; if your sound bar only uses one speaker cone, then replace with a cone that has a tweeter on it, preferably, a 3-way speaker), and installing sound wedges on the rear with 6X9 speakers (preferably 4-way speakers) to get some base sound.
If you do not know what sound wedges are, look at some of my previous postings, and you will see my setup to get an idea. in my case, I eliminated the sound bar (well, I kept it on because of the dome lights, but no sound comes out of it!).
