Hey,I was looking at a TJ on ebay and I found a sweet 97 TJ,with lockers f/r and arb full float axle thingy's?What are full floats?By the way,the jeep has a dana 30 front and a 35 rear.With 33's,after market bumber,winch highlift,and a cb.Plus only 33,000 original miles! Whats it worth?10k?

full floating is an axle type, most commonly found on heavy 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. On that Jeep, probably means that it has locking hubs in the rear.

the full floating axles, it could also have drive flanges.... gotta link?

If you break an axle shaft with a full floater, you can pull the shaft out and still mount the wheel back up for the drive home.

the weight of the vehicle is placed on the axle flange/tube, rather than on the axle shaft itself... it is a great design... and like bounty said... the axle shaft and the hub will be a seperate piece, so you can run with a wheel if the shaft is removed

Ok great,that explains alot.Thanks guys 8) Sully
