peugot to an ax-15 swap

my peugot died and i want to upgrade the trans to the ax-15(unless there is something better) what issues should i look for.....

You'll need the AX15 bellhousing, and probably have to change the tansfer case input to 23 spline, most Peugeot BA10/5's have the 21 spline output. You'll need the AX15 clutch slave system, to include the clutch master cylinder.

If you're going to do it, do it right and get a '94 or newer with the external clutch slave. The slave's aren't as prone to leakage as the internal, and you don't have to drop the transmission to replace the clutch slave.

definitey use as late a model as possible and get the transfercase with it. the splines are different from the puke transmission (21) to (23). i blew mine up a couple of years ago. check ebay i got a lead on alot of newer tj stuff in my area (pnw) and it will bolt right up.
