paintin' the underbelly...

living in Pennsylvania, with the amount of road salt we see in the winter, my undercarriage is starting to rust pretty good and is looking kind of ugly. i was wondering if anyone has ever painted their undercarriage before and if it's a big hassle. mainly I'm interested in the frame rails, control arms, axle tubes, diffs, cross member, etc. is it really necessary to pop the body off or can you get away with crawling around on the ground and just painting it that way. just curious if anyone has done this before and how it went.

not sure about the services around there.. but there is a guy here (western ny is the rust capital) who will undercoat a jeep for $150.. good for up to 10 years

pop the body off
That's a good one. I wish it were that easy. I would pop the body off just to wash mine.
Somebody on this board did something to that effect a month or two ago. Look back at the old threads and see. It seems like there were some pictures and the title said something about POR 15.

The Arma Coatings place I go to will do it for about $150, and it is guaranteed for life. They don't take the body off or anything, and they spray anything you want them to under there.
