New noise, front hubs??

I noticed the jeep was making a new noise today on the highway (low hum / growl). I can also feel a vibration /grinding through the steering wheel at about 60 mph, it becomes very apparent when I turn the wheel to the left when changing lanes, I'm pretty sure its my front driver side hub / unit bearing but I have yet to put her on jack stands and spin the wheel or check for play yet. I know that front axle u-joint on the driver side has a little play in it but I'm doubting it's that. So as I humbly ask you guys for your opinion and if you know any good place to by the necessary parts online (I checked prices at NAPA, ouch). 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport 4.0 5 speed

Chrysler Dealer Price is around $265.00 for the Hub and Bearing assy. Application fits from 1990 thru 1999.

...........I know that front axle u-joint on the driver side has a little play in it but I'm doubting it's that.........

I wouldn't discount that as being the problem. Relatively inexpensive and easy fix. I would try that first...............probably needs replaced anyway, right?

Usually around $125 each at the parts stores. I try to get used when possible, ya I'm that cheap.

I had the same noise and replaced my Hub bearings. Noise is gone! Nice and quiet. I found the hubs on ebay. I paid $92 for the pair. Timken part #513084. This site kicks ass. Thanks for all the info!
