I have an 84 CJ7. I want to put in a new Jeep 4.0 like a 2000 or 2001 and a NV4500 transmission and keep the Dana 300 Xcase is this going to be possible?
for an nv4500 swap, expect to spend a few thousand at least and do some welding and cutting. It's not exactly a bolt-in swap, even with some of the packages out there. Advance Adapters can make the process easier, however.
dont forget about new driveshafts when you jump into a transmission swap, with adapters and different transmissions, drivetrain length changes so you can expect to drop 500 on driveshafts immediatly if you dont wanna get one just cut down
