need to buy a tire carrier ASAP!

what is recommended from the bestop, OR-FAB tire carrier, or just the reinforcement brackets on the tail gate for the spare tire.
I have a Jeep YJ 1991 and baja Claw 35x12.50 tires.
the other question is need to find a place for the Hi-Jack in or around my jeep. I also have installed chrome tube bumpers, how would I go about the problem?

Two muffler clamps, two washers, and two wing nuts keeps the hi-lift out of the way and out of the elements. Quick to get to, and reliable.

if you have a hollow bumper out back that can also be a good place to locate a jack all.

Wooh, I would not recommend putting a 35 " tire on the tail gate. No matter how you brace that tail gate, the higes were design to only take so-much weight. I still have my factory spare and it has caused my tailgate to sag! I would recomend a bumper mounted tire swing with provisions for a high lift. They can be expensive but well worth it, You can also mount you CB antenna on there, jerry cans, all sorts of stuff!

I found these on ebay. I know of a guy in washington who can custom make you one for $500, I will get his email to you. I have emailed him a number of times and his wife(who does the business end of it) is very informative and extemely nice. They can add thing if you need them!

I see. I under stand money is an issue, we own jeeps. I would just rough it out as long as i could with the mini full size spare, save my cash, and then get the bumper. The ones I posted from ebay were only at like $100-$200. I am not and never been a fan of tube bumpers, This is solely my opinion about the mass produced tube bumpers, but they are extremely weak and inferior to heavey duty solid steel units. And if they are chrome, oh boy. Chrome won't get you home! Again my opinion. to each his own.

To retain the equiptment you have, the bestop brand tail gate re-enforcer will probably be you best bet to purchasing a whole new set up. Just beware of the problems associated with these style carriers.
Doesn't remove the weight from the tail gate, just redisperses it
You will have to drill through the tub, if you don't live in the rust belt should be no prob.
I have heard they limit the amount the tail gate can be opened.

You won't be able to put the Hi-Lift Jack where Bounty mentioned unless you want it to go across the front of the back seat. 1991 was the last year of the angled role bars that didn't square off on the back corners. You may be able to mount it on the upper part of the angled role bars but it may be in the way of your rear view or someone may smack thier head against it when in the back.
When I get my Hi_Lift I plan on taking the handle off, and sliding it through the front bumper. There is a factory 2" (appox.) hollow tube that sits right behind the stock bumper that the main part of the jack can slide through. Just put a lock on the other end so it doesn't slide out or get stolen and your all set. I know you have aftermarket bumpers, not sure how they mount but I'm assuming the factory tube I mentioned is still there. The only down side is the jack right out there with the elements.... Oh and you have to put the handle somewhere inside...
