64Jeeper New member Jul 3, 2010 #1 I have a friend who has a 95YJ with a valve tap in the 4 cylinder engine. He doesn't want to spend a lot of money on the Jeep because he is selling if for $2500. He wants to fix the valve tap though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

xt master New member Jul 3, 2010 #2 Try changing the oil and using some royal purple.If it is not too bad it should lubricate it and quite it down some.

bobcat481 New member Jul 3, 2010 #3 Pull the cover and torque it down a bit? 1/2 hour job + some RTV. Not the best fix I guess.
