Lift ?

SO, i have a 02 TJ, with Rubi rims and 31' MTR'S. I drive about 300 miles a week, all hiway. I am thinkin of a 2in lift with 32's. Should i go for a RE BB or Rustys 2in. My TJ is used 80% on road, i am just looking for a little lift to have some fun on the weekends. Maybe some Quik Discos to help with flex. Is it better for me to have new coils (rustys) or RE BB (spacers) who makes a better shock ? Im not too concerned with ride quality (its a jeep) ANY suggestions would be great. Im thinkin MTR 265 16's (32) Thanx !

Each has there draw backs.
With 2 inch coil spacers you will get a slightly stiffer ride due to the fact that your center line (up and down part / z position). Also your flex amount will still be at factory levels.
With bigger coils you will get a slightly springier ride due to the longer hight of your coils. You will have allot more flex since your coils are longer.
A better quality type of shock will minimize both of these effects and an adjustable type Rancho 9000 with the on-the-fly adjustable system will let you fine tune your ride back to near factory ride.

Either way you go your jeep is going to drive and stop differently with your new lift and tires. Take the time to re-acquaint yourself once you lift her.
Personally I would go with the longer coils, discos and shocks buts my 2 cents.

Which is better? Longer coils for offroad, BB for the street. YOu said ride quality isn't important then go for the coils if you don't mind the extra $$$.

Rusty's basic shocks leave a lot to be desired. If he has a gas charged (nitro?) version they may ride stiffer but that would be my choice. That's just a preference. RE usually uses pretty decent shocks with their kits.

I bought the 2" spacers from Performance Accesories and had 33"s under my TJ at first. I did some mild rock trails with that setup and didn't have much trouble with clearance at all. On the road it was fine except for when I'd have to do a U-turn. But you can fix that by adjusting the steering stops. Of course I didn't have much money at all when I did this so that was the main factor in that decision.

Thanx guys, is there somehow i can purchase larger coils, and shocks separately ? (not a kit) I have also heard that Rustys shocks aren't all that good. I'm definately going to go for the coils !

Thanx, RE were 3.5, i only want to go 2. Although i rather use RE. Any suggestions on shocks ? Rancho rsx ?
