Jeepers are family...right?

I've been part of this club since I first got my jeep, almost 3 years. I love this club. You guys(and gals) are awesome. I think we're a pretty tight knit group here. I mean anyone that was here when JHiggins passed knows how close everyone is. But is it just this group? I am in another group and they bicker and fight over nothing! Its not welcoming at all. I dont know what others have encountered outside of jeepz but I'm interested in finding out.

I've found out that there's no other family like jeepz.com, not that I've seen on the webworld.

But like any family, siblings will argue. When that happens, grab a pillow and smack the other party smartly about the head. Oh, stuffing pillow case with hard objects is frowned upon.....

Your right - what a great family this is - BTW...I could use a few bucks for an intake manifold......family.....family......wyo,who! where did ya all go?....family????...LBR

Shut the hell up, toad breath!! We do not!!!

j/k of course....we only bicker over about half of the stuff others do. :purple:

There is alittle bickering but not to bad,you get that on most sites anyway.I'm pretty new to this site but I feel like I'm getting to know alot of you just by some of the great threads we have here.

First off this is a great site, yes we are a tight knitted group of jeepers. And yes we argue over the silliest of things. But that is human nature. If it isn't what is the best lift out there its about TJ, YJ, or CJ. Let alone adding those Cherokee owners into this discussion!
But what it comes down to is this, this board has brought us together for several reasons.
First off we all own jeeps that means we are broke and cant afford to have a real life.
We love our jeeps with a fanatical passion that other people will never understand and we are proud to say it.
This board is one tiny place for some of us to meet others like us and we want to get to know each other, because we share that same passion for jeeps.

And that lies the problem...we are all not the same person, we each have different views of things and some times those views come out in our discussions. Then we argue over them. Every one of us wants to throw in there two cents and have a chance on the soap box.
It doesn't mean we are fighting our way to having a Donny-brook when we meet, it means we are airing our own personal views and that is it.
It is hard to convey our thoughts or emotions into words some times and it comes out wrong.

But what it all boils down to we are a close nit family thats shares our passion of jeeps. And some times we argue/discuss things that others wouldn't dare too. But its better to have a meaningful discussion with family than a stranger on a street.

I think the thing that separates this site from the rest is that I'm not afraid to open it up with my 12 year old standing over my shoulder. These seem to be getting harder to find on the www these days

This site is very, very calm and laid back by most standards. The main reason I don't post to other sites like Pirate 4x4 is the amount of flaming that goes on and is ignored and often seems to be encouraged by the moderator staff. I mean, really, any site that has a smilie that is flipping the bird isn't exactly being moderated well at all, and should be avoided by those who don't want to see a bunch of idiots fluffing their plumage and trying to see who's is bigger.....regardless of what information may be available on that site, it's not worth battling the overblown egos of those who are trying to compensate for their shortcomings to get it.
