I just was on rockcrawler where dodge is introducing a power wagon ram and has front/rear lockers, 12k winch 33s, 4.56 gears and a HEMI all standard in '05... sounds like DC isnt goin to let jeep be their only off-road focused brand

Impressive, yes, but it ain't no Jeep!

I read that it will have an electronically disconnectable swaybar!!! THAT's COOL!

Its just too big. It like driving a school bus. Would be a good mud runner though.

It's based on a 2500(3/4ton) platform, so there should be plenty of useless weight and length to have to drag through the woods. A skinny 33"(actually an LT285) all terrain tire is a little less impressive on a fullsize than they are on a small Jeep. They should have thrown the Rubicon front axle, lockers, and a winch on a regular cab Dakota. THEN they would have something sweet.

At least the Dodge division is putting up an effort though. I guess :?

i agree about the dakota... it would have been much better... i like the electronic disconnect idea... but still....

it will NOT defeat the rubi

Well it is still a truck, and no truck can go where the Jeep can go only due to size. Like the hummer great idea but just not as capable as a Jeep in many instances. There will be many times both the truck and the hummer will out preform the jeep but over all the Jeep will rule as it has for so many years on the trail lockers or not. But I would like to see the new power wagons paint job after a few days up here in the East Tennessee Mountain Trails. tug

How about we all pitch in and lease one, and I will wheel the hell out of it!
