Interesting CJ 7 Lift Question

BROKEN BOLTS IN MY TUB!

This winter my CJ7 is going to be transformed.....little run down of what is happening...... I will be putting in a 3/4 ton Dana 44 front, FF 14 bolt rear, upfront Im going to use 2.5" YJ lift Springs and SOA them, it is also getting a new Advanced Frameworks Frame, and eventually some 38" tires

Now for the question.......... Im planning on lengthening my wheelbase. Im going to do this in the rear using XJ leaf packs...... what size lift will i need to match the same amount of lift from the front springs. Remember my frame is for a CJ 7, but im using YJ springs in the front so its not being lifted a true 2.5" inches........ both ends will be SOA when completed.

so what size XJ lift pack

If nobody has a better answer for you I would recommend getting some stock XJ springs from a junkyard. Put them on the jeep and measure how much lower it is from the front then you can figure out how much of a lift you need to level it out.

I would guess that a set of 3" XJ lift springs should get you pretty close. The stock XJ springs are pretty flat, even compared to the stock YJ springs.
