Installing CJ Fiberglass Fenders

I have bought a set of fiberglass fenders from 4wd hardware. Has anyone put a set of these on?

I knew i had to cut holes for all mounting points, flares, side markers, etc but i have had to cut part of the inner fender out to clear my shock tower.

Is that common when installing these fenders? I still looks good so i am happy but just wondering if anyone else ran into this, and what i should have done, even though it's a little late know

I would guess yes! Never installed Fiberglass units on a jeep, but on our 71 nova, we put a FG front end on and we had to do a lot of cutting!

I had to make the same cuts on my replacement metal fenders to clear the shocks. The cut they had did not match up. Like you said, still looks good and is still functional though.
