Impressed with Dual Friction

Just wanted yall to know I got my jeep clutch done with the dual friciton clutch. The results are better than expected . I actually caught a wheel in the jeep. I can tell a big difference in pull it seems to have more power. It would be great for some of the rock climbers, but also good for pull in mud. Just fyi

It was considerable more for this one instead of a typical factory clutch this one has a longer warrenty than the factory. about $350 for mine, but I got all installed for $800.00 , but y mech cuts me a deal. Depends on what size you engine is how hard it is to get to the clutch, mine is hard. Here is the site I am impressed in the pull power I gained on my four banger...

I wouldn't waste the money on a dual-friction clutch on a 4banger, just not enough HP to justify needing the extra holding power. Much better suited to a high HP engine that needs a beefy clutch.

How can you tell the difference in 'pull power' between the dual friction and OEM? Or are you comparing your new cluch to one that was worn out?

Bad Bad Bad Bad Day II

you would get considerably superior results from any new clutch

I looked into getting a dual friction center force II clutch for my 93 YJ and was told that it won't work with my transmission because it will hit either the slave or master cylinder (whichever one is located inside the transmission).....although I've seen them advertised in JP magazine for my jeep.....whats with this? I have a 93 YJ with a 4.0L.

even though it WILL have potentially more grab, the need is not there... but if you wanna go for it... LadyGator showed us that it can be done
