Snitty--Does the Camaro have a single exhaust on it? Why?....is it a third gen(82-92)? The gasket blowing is probably due to poor quality gaskets/exhaust components or an uneven sealing surface. The thin little paper gaskets are unforgiving, if you are having problems with them switch to the "dead soft" aluminum type and prep the sealing surfaces. Check to make sure the flanges aren't distorting as the bolts are torqued down.....your problems should be over(other than being down on power from running too small of an exhaust).
The electronic cutouts would be fun at a stoplight....if you got the bite to back up the bark. It just seems like they would end up being a constant source of leaks after they get a little worn. How well do they hold up to being dunked in water and dragged through the mud? Are they still going to seal if they happen to get brushed up against a rock or log?
