I'd do a mild shackle lift before I cut the flares, but that's just me. As for the rubbing on the springs, you can adjust the steering stops in about 10 minutes with some washers and a socket wrench:

The writeup is for an XJ but they are the same (I did it on my old YJ)

Shackle lift is on the way....already working out the details with a fellow Jeepz member!

Oh, and I forgot: These are way quieter than I expected! The BFG M/Ts and Kumho M/Ts I used to run on my Toyota were loud on pavement, but I can hardly hear these.....kinda disappointing in a way, know what I mean?

One more note: I called all around Wichita looking for a speedo gear. Found 2 places that had them (had to order them, that is). The stealership and the local 4wd shop (only 4wd shop). Guess who had the lower price? THE STEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!! $19 from the stealership, $35 from the 4wd shop (same place that charged my insurance $1200 for a Best Top a while back). I could've gotten the same top for $650 on the net, but that's a whole nuther story.

Looks good.

Have you thought about doing the TJ flare thing? They are pretty cheap from the junkyard and provide a decent amount of extra clearance. The look of the Jeep is updated a little too.
