CJ Hard top ?

There's no hardware needed. My hartop holes don't line up to my softtop bracket holes, so you may need to drill new holes on the windshield frame.

Many here put a seal between the top and the body. I've never done it, plan to next time I put my hardtop on.

I never used anything. You need to take off all soft top hardware, including the windshield channel.

Hi-Ya, blazntn,

I agree with Terry’s post.

I have both tops. To install the hard-top on the CJ, you have to remove all soft-top hardware and the windshield channel.

The are eight nuts and bolts that secure the back end of the hard-top to the CJ tub, and five sheet metal screws that secure the front end of the hardtop to the top lip of the windshield frame.

You might have to drill the top of windshield frame for the five sheet-metal screws if a hardtop has never before been installed. Dunno, the five windshield frame holes might also have been factory drilled.

PS: If your hardtop has an interior dome light above the rear hatch, you will have to connect those two dome light wires to the two wires which run along the driver's side of the tub. The dome light will then go on when you turn on the underdash interior lights via the headlight switch.

I believe, however, the underdash lighting was an optional extra. Therefore, your CJ might or might not have those lights and the associated wiring.
