Carb Adjusting.

Whats going on guys? Its about that time of year when college students get to go home and for me that means a whole summer of jeeping. My last post was about installing a motorcraft carb in my 89YJ replacing the widely hated carter. The motorcraft carb I got from a junkyard off a mustang, the carb looked real good and even had some gas inside meaning it had not been sitting there for ever. Bolting the carb on was no prob, I actually had a good time puting on the jeep. When time came to fire the jeep up the carb worked perfectly and the jeep turned on instantly. Time came to offroad the carb was working great and I could feel the improvement on the jeep. After battling with a tough hill for quite a while and giving up, the jeep started to have a tough time starting. It seems that the carb is passing way to much gas when starting up, causing it to flood. When the jeep is running it works great but its just at start up that it seems to mess up. It seems that there is to much gas being passed to the engine casing it to flood. Will getting a smaller set of jets fix the problem? The carb has 46# jets, its a 1.08. Will a rebuilt kit fix the problem? Thanks for the help!
