brake lights are screwed!!!

i just noticed that my brake lights only work when i brake hard. has anyone had any problems with this or has my jeep caught the gremlins???? any help is appreciated.

check your brake light switch. ( follow your brake peddle up, maybe it was shoved foward)

I've had the problem of the brake lights ALWAYS ON. This turned out to be caused by the switch at the pedal being out of position. A quick adjustment and all was back to normal. This is likely the cause of your lack-of-lighting problem.

Yep, the switch is likely just out of adjustment.

The switch has a threaded shaft. Disconnect the wire, screw the switch in until it is almost touching the brake pedal arm. Plug the wire back in and test it out.
Follow the brake pedal arm up to the top, you'll see the switch. It will be pretty self explanatory then.
