Body Mount Question

Today was a big day. A buddy and I moved the YJ tub into the garage, and set it onto the frame! Now to bolt it down...

I bought a body mount kit and it came with the upper and lower cushions and the sleeve/washer things. The sleeves are taller than the mounts, so they stick out on one end, making for a loose fit. If I just bolt it down as it is, the body will be able to move up that 1/8 - 1/4" that the sleeve sticks out. I drew a picture to better describe it.

Cushions are red, frame is black, sleeve is blue.

What do I do about this? Find a washer that slides over the sleeve to take up that extra room? Cut the sleeve off to shorten it? I would really hesitate to start cutting, and I can't find washers with a 1" hole in the middle!

I figure that somebody must have done this before...

Thanks for reading.

RE: Rear Locking Diff, on a CJ?!?!

i'd say to just cut them down. or instead of washers, use some hockey pucks, and drill them out as need be.. get some lift out of the deal

RE: Cheap 4X4

I figured I'd get most votes for the "brute force method." :D

or instead of washers, use some hockey pucks, and drill them out as need be.. get some lift out of the deal
I could do that, but I just bought this body mount kit and I don't feel like throwing all the main parts away. (Top cushion is what you would replace to lift.)

Thanks for the replies guys. I am a little gun shy to just start chopping, so I will look around a little more. How come nothing "ready to install" ever goes on easy?

RE: Re: RE: Just got back from Moab

I ended up finding some washers that fit at Ace. Worked like a charm, from what I can tell.
