Body Lift Height

My body mounts are shot, and since I am planning on going through the trouble of replacing them I thought about just putting a small body lift on. I don't want anything too much simply cause I don't like the way it looks if it's too high. I don't like the look of the body sitting off the frame, so was planning on a 1" BL.

My question... with a 1" body lift, is it 1" of lift above the stock mounts, or are the pucks 1", so it's really only about a half inch lift after you replace the stock mounts?

You add the 1" pucks below the stock mounts to give you a true 1" lift. Are you planning on replacing the stock mounts with the BL pucks? Don't know if that is a good idea. Maybe someone else here has an opinion on that, but I think you should replace the mounts as well as add a 1" lift. I don't know how the BL pucks would behave as body mounts.

I was planning on the Daystar kit... does it not come with all that is needed to replace the stock rubber mounts? Or should I consider a different set?

Stacker, you are correct. The Daystar kit is all you need to replace the entire mount AND net 1" of body lift. You are making the right decision. Note: the Daystar mounts are made from polyurethane which are stiffer than rubber, so you may notice some stiffness immediately after installing. However, like with other Jeep mods, you will learn to accept it and not even notice it after a while.

Put a little litheum grease inbetween the body and the body mount. Through trial and error my buddy found this will kill most of the squeeking!

You really won't notice any difference in stiffness with the poly mounts. I have the daystar mounts and I noticed no difference. Then again it's hard to notice when you run swampers on the street.
