Ok so I ordered MORE's 1" body kit and it came in today. Well i thought i was getting the polyurethane bushings and the whole enchilada, but all i got was the aluminum pucks. My stock bushings dont look like their doin bad so can i just add those pucks in under the bushings or do i need to go ahead and buy all new?? thanx

As long as the factory ones haven't lost their shape too bad or they aren't cracked, I'd use them. I'm running poly body bushings on mine just because the factory ones were worn out and I had to get new ones anyway, but after doing it just for the heck of it on my last Jeep and not seeing any real benefit, if they were in better shape I would have used the factory rubber ones. The rubber ones don't transmit as many chassis vibes to the body as the poly bushings do.

oh boy... when i saw the title of this thread... i was prepared to throw up... thank the lord we're talkin about a lift

I didn't read anything above but I had a question, I am getting the xenon "super-euro" ground effects kit for my CJ, should I use stainless bolts or will lots of superglue and bondo work?

LRwrnglr,
Sorry for hijacking your thread.

jps4jeep,
Superglue and bondo are one option. I kinda like the two part epoxys a little better. But before you go putting those xenon "super-euro" body parts on I suggest a treatment for the existing body to enhance the adhesive factor of a two part epoxy or a superglue. I like to call this treatement the salt water dunk. First you must drive to the coast. Then find a pier that is wide enought to hold the Jeep. Drive down the pier and off the end into the ocean. This should provide a good saltwater dip for the Jeep. Please do not try to drive out on the beach into the ocean as there is a possibility that the Jeep might get stuck prior to being completely sumberged. Leave the Jeep in the water for two or three days and then have it towed back home. The Jeep may never run again and will probably rust to the ground within a few months, but you wil be better of than if you had a Jeep with the xenon "super-euro" body kit.

Sweet yo, I live in Boston so there is plenty of salt water! But a couple questions, should I wear my seat belt? Cause I think the salt in the water will jam the locking mechanism. I have a 91 CJ, that was the year they recalled the seat belts!

Second question, I am having a fitting problem, when I put the front air damn on, it is contacting the supercharger! Should I cut the air damn for clearence, or should I cut the supercharger?

jps4jeep,
I say go without the seatbelt and also go topless. I'll be honest and say that I am not the biggest fan of xenon "super-euro" jeeps, but I do not dislike them enough to give advice to their owners that might lead to their death.

As far as the supercharger goes, it's your choice. I would say trim the air dam some.....superchargers look cool sticking up. Actually, what I would do is put one of them Pro-Stock dragster model hood scoops over it to complete the look.

Just one piece of advice.....you might want to leave that 91 CJ alone. Those are pretty rare and sell for a lot of money when in good condition. In fact, I think there is a guy that works at Auto Zone who would pay about $20,000 for one of those 91 CJs.
