The Truck Avenger by Holley might be okay, I've heard differing stories about that thing. There IS a reason that the Rochester Quadrajet is referred to as "poor mans fuel injection". A JET built/tuned Q-jet is the Cadillac of fourwheeling carbs.

It is a daily driver right now, just because I want it to be. However, I do have others to drive and since it is summer now, that means the nicer vehicles can be driven!!!

As for the carb, I was most likely going to get the Truck Avenger Carb. I have it on another truck and it is great!

Why spend more money on EFI, when you can manually make a carb run just as good?

My biggest question with swapping is have you checked Oregon emmision laws ? They are becoming bigger pain in the butt everywhere .

Ya, not really a problem. The only thing like that here is about a year ago they said if your vehicle sounds too loud, you must quiet it down :roll: . However, they only enforced it for a couple months and now they don't even care!!!

Right now I believe the emission control feaks are limited to the greater Portland area - I really don't think that they will be targeting the smaller areas like Eugene for quite a long time (me hopes! If they do, my 76 CJ-5 in in big trouble!) LBR
