350 chevy v-8 converson questions

Well my motor is almost done being built, I don't have a radiatior yet, but i am definately going with a chevy converson radiator, and bolt in motor mounts. I do have the advance adapter bellhousing for my t4, to bolt it to the 350.

My question is can i use my stock clutch? Will it bolt to a 350 flywheel? do I use a stock chevy pilot bushing even though i am using a jeep trans?

I would like to have all the parts bought and ready before i pull my motor, to eliminate down time, even though it is just my toy.

any info would help thanks

I support anyone in the quest to put a little more power under their hoods, I also understand the appeal of a V8. I'm just a little concerned about your decision to keep the T4. It won't last. They have pretty good ratios for what I do, so I wasted plenty of time and money trying to make them live.....they don't. And that's back when I was messing with relatively stock 258s.

Novak doesn't make any parts for that conversion but since AA makes an adapter for it, they should have all the other parts involved listed either in their catalog or on the website.

Check with AA on what clutch to use, and pilot bushing.

I put a 350 in my '88 YJ and used the stock Peugeot BA10/5 transmission. It held up fine, and you know the bad rap it has.

I'm not familiar with the T4, but for the cost of the conversion bellhousing you can usually find a transmission and transfer case that was built to handle v8 power.

I understand the t4 is the weak link but i already have the adapter for the t4 so it won't cost me anything to use it for now, but my question is will the stock jeep clutch and pressure plate bolt up to the chevy flywheel?

Check with AA on what clutch to use. I remember having to find a certain GM flywheel to use when I did my conversion.
