2005 Wrangler Unlimited (Electric Lime Green)

Yeah, I'm going to have to quit my job due to my up-coming internship towards the end of this summer :( I can't afford to keep both the Jeep and the Honda.

    Front-end protection

I was actually talking to a girl (pretty too) that was a welder. Darn it I should have pursued her more lol. And yes I have deer whistlers, I haven't found them to work well. I hit my deer with the whistlers, it didn't seem to do anything at all.

    Strange sound in reverse

Yeah, I noticed when I was half way up it did that, but if I drove all the way up and then put her in reverse then it was fine. Pressure on the linkage...is that bad or what?

    Front-end protection

Wow, is that pic after the accident? I can't even tell you hit anything... I didn't think those tubular bumpers would be that durable.

    Front-end protection

Oh I completely agree man, I don't know why anyone would do that. I guess the guy who stated that probably did it by accident. I don't know what kind of retard who would seek out trees to run into lol. I think the praise for ARB was on the "toughest bumpers for $$" thread.

    Strange sound in reverse

I guess I didn't phrase my problem correctly. It doesn't do it when the front tires are level and on top of the bump. This problem occurs when, normally, the jeep would roll right back down (say, if I'm half-way up a huge snow bank and I stop and try to reverse while I'm half-way up.

    Front-end protection

I'm confused. I was doing some new searching for some protection and I've heard nothing but praise for ARB. I've heard people say that it plows through 6 inch trees without a scratch, bouncing off rocks without a scratch, and rear ending cars without a scratch...

    Strange sound in reverse

Hi, I was having fun slowly creeping my jeep onto curves and big snow banks :) when I noticed a funny sound. First off, I have an automatic transmission. When I drove up onto a curve, stop, and then put it into reverse I notice the the gear shifter doesn't want to shift into reverse, but kinda...

    Jeep pinging problem

Running 93 octane did nothing for the pinging, although it did make my wallet much easier to fold :p

    Jeep pinging problem

I'll give it a try one more time. I tried it once without success, however it could have been crappy gas, so I'll try one more time at a different station. With this awesome weather, it won't take me long to go through my current tank of gas :)

    Jeep pinging problem

Eh, I've tried dozens of times, and the Jeep is too darn noisy to record it. I am at a loss about this, and may try to replace the t-stat...I've heard of putting in a 180 t-stat fixing the problem on some jeeps.

    Jeep pinging problem

Well, it's kinda hard to explain. Unless under extremely heavy loads at low speed, I can tell you that the sound appears to start at 45mph/1500 rpm (overdrive), and lasts until about 50mph. During that time period, the jeep is kind of rides rough as well...hard to explain for a noob. As far as...

    Touchy throttle when 4x4ing

I do... But I was going through some bumpy snow covered roads yesterday, and the toe on the throttle works wonders.

    Proper towing procedures

Great tips! I think you all answered my questions! Thanks everyone :) Oh btw, I got my first chance to drive my new Jeep in snow. It's the first time really that I've had it in 4wd that I needed it anways. Wow, that thing is awesome. I stopped on completely snow covered hills to test 4x4...
