My 94 YJ did the same thing it turn out to be fuel filter you can check it by driving with fuel cap off ... My Jeep had slot of vacuum when I removed cap ..

I had a problem like that and it was the computer it's on the fire wall if it got wet it fried it you charge the battery it start and just runs tell the battery is dead
