    Hissing sound under glove box

It could be a Burmese Python, do you live in South Florida? Just kidding. My 98 XJ does that whenever the HVAC is on. Doesn't matter if it is on heat or A/C. You may notice the A/C compressor clutch engaging every few minutes also. The hissing is the sound of a vacuum actuated door moving open...

    Snow wheeling

When I lived in Philly, I used to park in the parking spots where folks had shoveled a big pile of snow. Easier to find spots to park when it snowed.;)

    The Jeep wave...

When I'm in my YJ, I wave at all jeeps. CJ's YJ's TJ's & modded XJ's almost always wave back. Recently some JK's are starting to get the idea & wave back. Now my XJ is stock & I still wave at all jeeps, but nobody seems to even notice. Every now & then I get another XJ who just happens to be...

    Roll Cage & Sun Visor

I tossed my visors pretty much within a week of tossing my carpets. Being a welder for many years, my eyes are sensitive enough that I always wear sunglasses during the daytime. Pugs are my new favorite brand.

    CJ Anti Theft Question

I once knew a guy who had a military teargas canister rigged up under the driver's seat. He felt like it was a great thing to have, you arm it before going to sleep & disarm it before driving. His son came out of a bar drunk one night & forgot to disarm it. Prolly a good thing since he...

    Snow is taking its toll

There was a guy at Oxford & Devereaux about three years ago. Not sure how great a mechanic he is, but he does know jeeps pretty well. He saved my day when he turned up an old rear driveshaft from his used parts bin. Mine had been pretzeled & this was on a weekend. Sorry I cant remember the name...

    Water!

See my reply in your other thread. The plastic lines run under the battery, & sometimes they just crack from age & heat. The carb then sucks up water through them when they get submerged or sprayed.
