    Starting Problem CJ7

I'm having a problem with my '85 CJ7. I need some help. Here's some background info and the problem: I have a push button starter switch wired directly to the solenoid. When the igntion is switched "on" the voltmeter goes up to 12v, then when I push the starter button the volts drop to zero and...

    Leaking power steering fluid.

My '85 CJ is leaking PSF again. The hose clamp on the bottom radiator hose rubbed a hole in the metal part of the PS pressure hose. I took it off and patched the hole with some epoxy putty. This worked for a couple of months, but now the leak is back. I'm gonna spring the 30$ for a new hose now.

    power steering fluid leak

My '85 CJ has developed a power steering fluid leak due to the hose clamp on the radiator hose chafing on it. The leak is in the high pressure line underneath the radiator hose. My question is...How do I remove the PS line from the steering sector? The connection is in an almost unreachable...

    Locking rear differential

1059144 Thanks JP89 and farright. I just checked and dang mine appears to be the amc20. Is it too much trouble(and money) to install a locker? My cj does OK offroad, but I have got good and stuck a couple of times. I have been looking at the 'Powertrax no slip traction system' in the Quadratec...

    Anyone have the Bestop Sunrider?

1059673 I cut some hard rubber shims (about 1/8th" thick out of stair treads) to shove into groove to hold the corners. I used pieces of twigs and vines until people would see them and pull them out. If they notice the rubber, they tend to leave it alone. :-P [addsig]

$40 come-along saved my butt twice today!

1064769 Back in my pre-jeep days ,I had a Ford f150 with a 8000 Warn winch and I stayed stuck. I would run up to a mudhole and instead of gettin out and locking the hubs, my co-piloot would say " Hit it man, you got a winch". Now in my CJ I keep a 3.5 ton come-a-long with a 40' chain and 3...
