Checked rear wheel bearings. GONE. So changed to one piece axles,changed from 10'' brakes to 11'' brakes,wheel seals,and brake lines. Done. Oh no water pump bearing goin out. Took it off. Won't be at parts store till Tuesday or Wednesday. Can't wait to drive it again.

I've got a 78 CJ5 with 360. A slight grinding noise started about 10 miles ago. Pulled it in shop, jacked up and found I can easily pull entire wheel, axle and all out. Stopped there. Still has the tapered axles. Any ideas guys?

Just pulled my transmission out of my 78 CJ5. It went smooth with no problems. Power washed it, taking it to shop in the morning to be rebuilt. Has 6 busted teeth on my second gear, some marking on third. Can't wait till it's done. Miss it already.
