How much should I be paying to have my clutch release bearing and (possibly) clutch replaced? EDIT: Almost forgot, '06 wrangler rubicon, 4.0, 6 spd. Thanks

So, I'm thinkin' tune up time

'06 TJ just rolled over 50k. I've had it a month, no idea how well the previous owner followed the maintenance schedule. I've had the hood up to look around a bit, everything appears stock and in good order, but I haven't had anything apart: airbox open, plugs pulled, anything like that. I'm...

    Lift install dificulty level

I'm lifting my '06 TJ rubicon 4", debating installing myself or having the shop do it for me. As for me, I'm a licensed A&P so I can find my way around a shop and a tool box. My concern is that I don't have a lift or shop bay to do the install. I have a complete set of your basic shop tools...

    06 TJ clutch whine

I've got a whining sound coming from the trans or clutch. When I put just a little pressure on the clutch pedal the noise goes away. Doesn't matter if I'm in gear or not, moving or not. Foot on clutch pedal - no noise, foot off pedal - squeeeeeel. It almost, but not quite, sounds like a belt...

    Satalite radio no go

I picked up my '06 TJ this weekend. It's equipe with sirius radio. When I went to activate it, it couldn't pick up the signal. Has anybody had any similar issues? I'd rather not have to involve the dealership if it's a simple fix or something I'm overlooking. Thanks.

    '04 5spd vs. '05+ 6spd

Is either tj transmission particularly better than the other? I noticed that the 6 speed is geared lower overall and that both only have the one overdrive gear. Is one tougher than the other or have any other advantage, or are they basically the same except for the gearing and number of gears...

    Allow myself to introduce..........myself

Howdy! Previous CJ owner (one 84 and one 86). As life had it's way with me I was forced to switch to more practical transportation. However, I will soon be on the hunt for a new jeep, a TJ this time, most likely a rubicon, and so will be on here often looking for answers, suggestions, advice and...
