    hero during mayhem

:agree: Although unfortunate and sad that individuals had to lose their lives and others wounded, one can only wonder how much worse the situation would have been if not for the actions of Ms. Assam. She may credit a higher power for guiding her actions, but I believe her training as a police...

    Intermittant Blower motor

The problem could be anywhere in the blower fan's electrical wiring circuit. If you're able to, find the fan's ground wire and check its conection. May also be a good idea to get a voltmeter and check to see if power is coming into the fan's fuse, as well as at the fan itself. Perhaps a...

    What a bummer...

I've had a problem in the past where a screw clamp band on the rubber sending unit hoses wasn't tight enough, allowing gasoline to leak. You'll likely have to drop your fuel tank to check this possibility. While you've got it dropped, might as well check the sending unit gasket and the...

    Side Project

That sounds like an excellent idea! I know of plenty of Jeeps that are missing at least one bolt on the transmission skidplate/crossmember b/c of that problem. The thicker wall is a good feature. You've got interest here!

    Leaf springs

Have you done anything to the spring bushings? If they're the factory 1995 rubber bushings, they're likely disinegrating and in need of replacement. Polyurethane bushings are a good replacement and are available from many sources and manufacturers (Prothane, DayStar...).

    Gas turned to Jelly?

I'm inclined to agree with 90 about the possibility of it being a sealant or an additive to the gasoline. IF gasoline does gel, it should only start to gel at VERY cold temperatures. Diesel? Oh yeah... that'll gel.

Church ordered to pay $10.9 million for funeral protest

Kind of like the Hatfield and McCoy feud... generations of old family hate and prejudice. In effect, that was brainwashing. I'd imagine there is/was some form of "brainwashing" with this so-called church group. Regardless, they purposely disrupt somber events (funerals) to fulfill their own...

I could go for a Yuengling, Rolling Rock, Sam Adams, Killian's Irish Red, Molson, even a Guiness before I have a Coors Light, Natural Light, or Budweiser. Last night I drove a limo to Washington D.C. so a group could go bar hopping for Halloween. When I went to clean out the limo at the end of...

Congrats on finding the real problem! Even though you didn't have to replace a u-joint (this time), you now know how to do it in the future (when you'll need to do it). ;) Enjoy the smoother ride while you've got it. So, when does the lift kit come into play?

    Replacing u joint

To replace the factory grease in the cross for the greasable u-joints, first remove the end caps and install the zerk (nipple) fitting. Then, using a grease gun, pump new grease into the zerk fitting until all the factory grease is removed from the cross. For non-greasable u-joints, take a rag...

    Offroading with airbags

Some manufaturer's airbags are set to activate as low as 5-10 miles per hour. Others may have a higher minimum speed. There are usually 2-3 sensors in the front (nose) of the vehicle, and in addition there's an inertia switch inside the control module (usually a silver/black flat rectangle...
