    Helpful Opinion!

To start, if you're not looking to break the bank a YJ (1987-95) will likely be where you'll find the most Jeep for your money. You could even find another CJ for about the same or less money. Have you given thought of what you want to do with this future Jeep? If the Mrs. doesn't mind the...

    Growth Spurt

Very nice work! Can't help but notice in the second picture where the front axle is removed, the rear wheel chock wasn't at the tire. I'm hoping you didn't have any problems with the Jeep or engine lift rolling out of place. That would've made for a quick shot of adrenaline! What did you...

    puzzled by new noise

Replace those u-joints and then report back to us on the noise or lack thereof. Regardless of the source of the noise, as Bounty said, there should be no loose movement at all in the u-joints.

    Stroke of bad luck

So the TJ appears to still be driveable. It disappeared earlier today and then reappeared tonight with a series of garbage bags covering the gaping hole in the soft top and door. I get this feeling that it will be returned to it's pre-fire state, and no major project(s) will take place. It'd...

    Stroke of bad luck

Yesterday as I was leaving the apartment complex, I was forced to take a different route due to a UPS truck and a FedEx truck blocking my normal path of travel. Had they not been there, I may have never seen what is in the pictures below. I don't know this Jeep owner, but it was definately an...

    brake lights are screwed!!!

I've had the problem of the brake lights ALWAYS ON. This turned out to be caused by the switch at the pedal being out of position. A quick adjustment and all was back to normal. This is likely the cause of your lack-of-lighting problem.

Chrysler to offer a hybrid version of every vehicle

I have no idea how many different factors came into play for the research company to come up with their conclusions; it may likely be thousands of factors. They claim it has taken three years to develop, compile, and decipher all of their factors/numbers. One of the articles mentioned that the...

    Electrical problem with 2002 TJ

:agree: You may likely need to drop the fuel tank again to find the source of the problem. Even dropping it a few inches may expose the problem. If it is a pinched/damaged wire, be prepared to replace that short section of wire with the same gauge (it is likely 14-AWG or smaller diameter)...

    No Brake Lights

Not really sure if this will apply to your situation, but if you're feeling frisky/desperate: The brake/turn/tail light housings get their power through a 4-prong plug, similar to that of trailer wiring connections. To access these plugs, you'll need to remove the splash panels at the bottom...

Looking at buying a Wrangler YJ, a few questions

Kahuna, when you go looking at different CJ's and YJ's, be sure to look at the underside, particularly at the frame and body mounts, for major rust areas. The rear section of numerous frames have rusted through at the spring shackle area. Do your research and determine how much work you're...

    fuel tank skid plate

If you'd like the opinions of the Jeepz community on the necessity of replacing your skid plate, post up a pic or two of the current (supposedly too-rusty) fuel tank skid plate for us to see. Maybe you do need a new one, maybe you don't. What year/model Jeep? Did the body shop ever remove the...
