    AC Compressor troubles....

Do what I did. throw out the whole AC unit and install a pulley in place. Nice noticeable power/torque gains from it. Hot summer days - just rent a convertible ;)

    it's all coming back....

Now, finally... after hanging on these forums for a bit, it's all starting to come back to me. I haven't had my Jeep for a while. Now my guru-ness is starting to flood back to me. LOL. Going to pick up the 2001 Cherokee this week. This week: muffler delete and intake. Next week 15x8 AR767 rims...

    check engine light came on.

Possibly the bad gas cooked your 02s or deposited a lot of crud on it. If you are willing and are mechanically apt, then remove the 02 sensor and look at it to see if its all cruddy or what.

2001 Cherokee Wanting to fit 33s

What fits? Hope this helps: http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/susp/WJlift/ I would go for a 4" lift with 32's myself (opinion) just to stay safe.

    Control arms?

It could have something to do with your trackbar. Are you running a stock trackbar? I would look into a control arm relocation bracket. It simply lowers the mounting point of your control arms. Ofc, first check your trackbar. If its a stock one, it might be "stretched" a little bit and every...

    fog lights

I got my 2001 Cherokee sport. However, it didn't come with factory fog lights. I was wondering how the lights mount to the factory holes? And are there any CHEAP foglights that I can buy from pep boys that will have the closest look to stock? I am looking for amber lights. I thought about the...

    tire questions

Ah. I know I keep jumping around a lot. Anyone have any opinions on the stiffest shock for a stock height cherokee? I still want to retain a nice road ride. I was thinking along the lines of trailmaster SSV shocks.

    Factory tow points

I know that the post 97 cherokees come with factory tow points in the front and rear in the UK. However, I was wondering if they have those on US spec XJs as well? I always thought that it would be bad to use those points (since they are on one side) for towing a XJ, due to the unibody...

    engine code question

So basically, you're saying that only Jeeps made in cali have more o2 sensors. I certainly hope this is not for ALL post 97 cherokees. I did hear that the 2000 and 2001 Cherokees have been changed a little bit to meet LEV vehicle requirements.

    Suspension/Vibes

    Yeah. It's a great combination. Isn't it?

    Suspension/Vibes

Haha. Makes me miss my old Cherokee. That was pretty big for a cherokee. And of course, it'll take me a while to save up 5k for that 8" system plus tires and SYE, etc etc....

    Suspension/Vibes

Haha. Actually. I got a 2004 Subaru WRX. But, I totalled it while avoiding a drunk driver. But, I'm certainly happy to be back into Jeeping. I have decided I am going to hold the lift until later and save up for the Skyjacker 8" kit and 35's with a SYE thrown in as well.

    Suspension/Vibes

Ah. Thanks for the feedback. I'm getting pretty set on a 3" BDS suspension system. It comes with shocks, transfer case lowering bracket, and a tracbar relocation bracket. I'm going to get some 31x10.50's and put them on the stock 5 spoke wheels.

    tire questions

I got rid of it like 2 months ago for a 2004 WRX. Then I wrecked my WRX. Now looking for a 2001 Jeep. :) I am from around the Buffalo, NY area.

Will a 3" lift kit bring about driveline vibes and/or trackbar/steering issues? (2001 Cherokee Sport)

    tire questions

Well. Let me change my question around. I would like to run as close to 12.5 inch wide tires on a stock suspension '01 XJ.

    tire questions

Wow. It seems that the smaller lift and tire combo has more problems with newer Jeeps. I used to have a 1995 Country with 33x12.50R15 tires on 15x10 rims witha 4" trailmaster lift and bushwackers. Also a 4.7 stroker kit. My new Jeep is aimed to be practical and not extreme like my old one...

boat question 455 olds I am getting a new 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport. If I got a 3" lift, will I have driveline vibes? and could I run 31x12.50 on 15x10 rims?
