    My NEW Jeep!!!!

What do you mean? I never left the family. Yeah, sure I sold my 95 XJ, but my parents have a 99 GC limited and a 96 XJ. Also, I know the bug very well. If you have seen my old XJ, you'll understand haha. The "bug" has now got me saving up for a BDS 3" lift.

    unusual but not bad vibes

I got my 2001 Jeep. It runs like a dream, however there are two times when it vibrates unlike my other previous cars. One time is directly after you start up and when you drive foward for about 30 feet, a short rapid vibration occurs and then stops. Never happens again until you turn the Jeep...

    Bullet Exhausts

If youre referring to Dynomax Bullet. Its ok with an I6, but sounds crappy with a 4 banger. I'd go with a flowmaster 40 series 3 chamber for max power and torque gains.

    Spot the differences

Haha. Made me skip a heartbeat, but good one. I like it better when they have those scary sound effects.

    it's all coming back....

Of course. AR767 was backordered. So today I'm picking up some 15x7 OutlawII's with my old 235/75R15 Futura Enforcer M/Ts. Also a flowmaster exhaust is waiting for me. ::evil grin:: feels good to be baccckkk!!!

2001 Cherokee Wanting to fit 33s

Or cutouts. I wouldn't really go over 33" on a daily driver cherokee. Its more of a PITA. Stick with 3" and 31's.

    ZJ starting/battery issue?

It could possibly be a loose engine harness. My old XJ had old frayed wires on the harness and it caused the problems you describe. I simply cut and reconnected the wires. No problems.

2001 Cherokee Wanting to fit 33s

Hence my 4" lift with all the weight reduction in my Jeep that raised it another .5". Ran 33's with full articulation and ran 35's no problem, but limited articulation.

    spare

Um.... There are two things that I would suggest. 1. You could get a longer bolt for the stock spare tire hanger inside the Jeep and mount the 31 on that. It may be a little crooked, but it holds tight. 2. I would use bungees INSIDE the Jeep cargo area using the stock tie downs. I did this...

Loud noise / sharp jerk when shifting

If you think its an U-Joint, crawl under to test it. Using BOTH hands, try rotating the driveshaft in the front and rear. If it has too much play or clunks, its a bad u-joint. If not, its something else. Could be a lot of things. Torque converter, transmission mounts, gears, brakes, etc etc...

    it's all coming back....

Actually it was a regular WRX. With the mods I had sitting at home, it could have beat an STi, but I totalled it before I could install my mods. Pics of the car before: www.rit.edu/~msb6082/mods.html Pics after the accident: www.rit.edu/~msb6082/accident.html SUCKS! At least I'm back to...

2001 Cherokee Wanting to fit 33s

Argh. Ignore my last post. I thought you were talking about a WJ. As for XJ's I would run a 6 inch lift to fit 33's. I personally ran 4.5" of lift with bushwhacker flares that were cut out. PLENTY of flex for me. Mine was a 1995 XJ, so I don't know about the 2001's. I am getting a 2001 in a...

    it's all coming back....

selling soft top with completed hardware and a bikini top Haha. That hood is the stock hood cut to accept airflow from modified lund eclise hood scoops that were bolted on. The Jeep was pretty fast, ran a lot faster than a stock cherokee and I'm running 33's with stock 3.55 gears. Also, I...

4wd drives light not working, but 4wd appears to work

Ah. my 95 had no light, but 4wd ran fine. It could be that the light burned out? I ran with no light for almost 3 years and no problems. However, you should look into getting a haynes manual and look at the wiring for the light on it and route it out.
