after days of research, i decided to go out and buy a different aw4 (set up for 4wd) i got it for $250 w/ a 30 day warranty at a local yard. ill keep you posted

shouldnt be a problem as the donor cherokee that im pulling the motor from is mated up to the aw4, so it does have it.

mine are set up exactly like bounty's. The only problem i ran in to was drilling through the exhuast hanger on the frame... luckily i was able to get the nuts on a little bit and tighten them down, while crushing the hanger out of the way. this isnt harmful to anything, and now those nuts...

im running 10w30 high mileage now and its time to change it. the motor is running hot and sluggish, and some say the oil can help. ive seen people using 10w40, 15w30 and 15w40. what should i run in the summer months?

try to find a nut small enough to go around the tip of the shaft. coarse thread would work good because as you tighten it down, it will cut into the plastic and turn it into a screw. i read about that method, but i just use "DAP" contact cement available at home depot.
