    Fog Lights

for what? stock or aftermarket (aftermarket are only really good w/the high beams as they're too bright for low) - i have hella 500 (round) on the bumper and KC rectangles on the windshield - you can find the hella's for around 70 bucks or so... you may be able to find brackets that'll work from...

    Clifford Performance

also with propane there are range issues - i was fueling my work truck when a Nev. Power guy was filling his propane tank for his work pickup - he has to fill it almost every day = he lives with it daily and hated it.... another reason i checked out that website for the propane, said "kewl" and...

    Funny Steering Woes

could be weights missing - if enuff were thrown (i know i have plenty on a few of my 33's) but i also had a similar problem in my work truck (freightliner) - after getting new front tires - turned out the tech put waaaay too much of that waxy soap on and IN the tire - it was cold - it solidified...

    Diffrances between a CJ-7 and a yj

gotta go YJ - parts availability (local part stores, etc...), style, functionality etc... i like the CJ style better but the age makes for more effort to find parts... as for the style, they are what they are... dont change the grille out... dont be a self loathing yj owner... hehehe... i've had...

    4x4

firts off, welcome to Jeepz! lots of good advice and people here... as for the xfer case...my old wagoneer (74) was tough to change.... not being synchronized is (from what i understand) the reason you have to be going reeeeealy slow to engage or disengage... dont think you have a real big...

    89 yj kidney shaker

boomerangs, like shackle reversal, has been subject to much debate here - do a search and you'll see what i mean... i like the idea but brake line and driveshaft mods (lengthening) has kept my curiosity just that... in fact, almost any question i've come up with has been covered in some way...

    89 yj kidney shaker

all good tips- but first = welcome to Jeepz! you'll like it here - lots of good advice and feedback.... fact is... some springs just run stiffer than others - i had a procomp 4" lift on my old 91 and it was the harshest buck board ride i'd ever felt - the hellcreek lift i have now is pretty...

Fuel filter/ pressure regulator install order?

not an expert but i've always seen the regulator on the fenderwell or by the carb as the last thing b/4 entering the bowls as you want to know the pressure entering - makes sense as the filter can vary that pressure due to interference or blockage etc... look around for examples - hope it...

    Hubs Locked or unlocked?

periodic manual hub cleaning/lubricating (like ea. oil change or so..) never hurts and unless your front axle is locked it shouldnt hurt to keep the hubs locked (right now with my screwed up cable disconnect , my "hubs" are effectively "locked" and w/an "open" diff. i dont notice a difference)...

    Shift light?

best fix i've found is black tape or pulling the bulb (if accessable) - my jeep doesnt have one but i've had a cpl cars that had it - i always told people it was a "direction of travel" indicator - thats about all its good for..... and yes, annoying....

    Mount

looking at both mounts - it seems that one is poking out the front and the other from the rear - twisted - so the t-case loosening exercise should help correct that - and as for the t-case drop - unless your planning on a slip yoke eliminator /cv shaft upgrade - you need the drop to help with...

    Mount

bad mount? seems a bit extreme and dont remember seeing this problem b/4 on the forum in the las 3 yrs or so... i know my 6cyl w/the same setup eats stock mounts pretty regularly (thinking its from the angles caused by the t-case drop) - check the condition of the mount and maybe change them out...

    CJ7 258 Idle Problem

first off, welcome to jeepz! you'll like it here.. lots of good folks and ideas/advice - as for the 4bbl - probably over carb'd - unless it was used as a hi rev mudder or something like that - i'd prob look for a stock 2bbl intake and run a ford carb (you'll find links for that on here) just...

    Santa gave me

get the lifting done - with 3" total you should be able to run 33's - dont buy till you know - my old jeep ran 32's and i wished the whole time i bought 33's but i bought the tires b/4 the lift went in... be patient and do it right the first time... and congrats on the gift!!

    gauges

first off... welcome to Jeepz! you'll like it here!!! and 2nd - youre smart to get it b/4 "mine becomes ours!!" ($$$ that is) - anyway - sounds like your problems are guage or sending unit related - the speedo/odometer should be cable driven, not electric... as for the temp and oil ga. - i know...
